I built the space I was missing
I'm Charlotte. Physiotherapist, lifestyle therapist, and sleep therapist, based in the Netherlands.
But before any of that, I am someone who has lived with chronic pain for eight years.
Since 2018 I have been navigating that journey mostly alone. I saw professionals, but nobody ever looked at the bigger picture: at who I was, what my life looked like, what was actually realistic for me. I felt unheard. And for a long time, I felt very lonely with it.
So I started figuring it out myself. Reading about pain management. Listening to podcasts. Trying recipes that might support my body better. Slowly building a routine that was realistic for me. Not perfect, but mine. Learning to slow down when everything in me wanted to push through. Working on accepting what I couldn't control, and focusing on what I could.
Two years ago, while trying to build a business, working full time and managing chronic pain, I burnt out. My sleep fell apart. My self-esteem followed. My pain got worse. And that became the moment I finally stopped fighting my body and started listening to it.
My pain didn't disappear. But it stopped taking over my life.
I didn't find a guide through all of this. I had to become my own. And that is exactly why I built GUIDED. Because nobody should have to figure this out completely alone.
The question that drives everything.
There is one question I keep coming back to, in my own life and in my work:
What power do we actually have over our own happiness?
It is not about willpower or discipline or doing more. It is about having enough energy, enough space, enough calm to actually enjoy your life.
How we sleep shapes our mood, our resilience, our sense of what is possible. How we eat has a direct impact on how we feel, not just physically, but emotionally. Movement is one of the most powerful antidepressants we have access to. And learning to calm our nervous system down is one of the most radical things we can do in a world that constantly pulls our attention outward.
I learned that taking care of my body wasn't a chore or a discipline: it was what gave me the energy, the clarity and the freedom to actually go after the life I wanted.
Real change doesn't come from pushing through. It comes from understanding what your body actually needs, and working with it instead of against it.
These are not separate topics. They are one conversation. And that conversation is what GUIDED is built around.
Your body. Your happiness. Your way.

What I do and why.
I trained as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands and spent years working with people in (chronic) pain, in burnout, stuck in cycles they couldn't name and couldn't break. I kept noticing the same thing: people were leaving appointments with diagnoses but without understanding. Without hope. Feeling like nobody had really seen them.
So I kept learning. In 2025 I qualified as a lifestyle therapist. In 2026 I completed my sleep therapy training and deepened my expertise in motivational interviewing and behaviour change, because I kept seeing how sleep, nutrition, stress, the nervous system and behaviour are all part of the same story. And I wanted to be able to address that story properly, with the whole person in front of me.
What gives me the most energy, every single time, is when someone leaves a session feeling a little lighter. A little more hopeful. Like one small step is actually possible.
That moment when the loop starts to feel less inevitable and that is why I do this.
